By growing trees with a wide enough distance between them for good pasture to develop, it is possible to raise a crop of trees on the same land that stock graze. However, the wood from trees grown in these situations is of a lower quality than that of trees grown in a pine plantation. These trees are on a farm in the Bay of Plenty.
