Grading sheep carcasses

Sheep and lamb carcasses are weighed and graded at the Canterbury Meat Company works. Meat inspection and grading were introduced to give New Zealand meat a competitive advantage in Britain, where it was vying with Australian, Argentinian and homegrown meat.
