Clover fleas are found throughout New Zealand. They are springtails that grow to about 3 millimetres long. They strip the soft, green surface of clover leaves and leave them looking spotty. Clover fleas also foul the leaves, making them unpalatable to grazing stock. This is a typical example of clover-flea damage to white clover plants.
