Kōrero: Coarse fish

Caudo

Female caudo grow to 6 centimetres and males 3 centimetres. A native of South America, the species was reported in stock troughs in Northland, the water having been pumped from a nearby stream. They are neither protected nor classified as harmful, and it is uncertain if wild populations have become established.
