Dune land features

This view of the sand dunes of the Aupōuri Peninsula looks westwards, in the direction of the prevailing westerly winds which blow onshore at Ninety Mile Beach. Dune features seen here include fore dunes (those immediately behind the beach), sand plains, dune lakes, and active and vegetated dunes.
