Encouraging investors

The Immigration Act 1987 emphasised the importance of entrepreneurs and businesspeople settling in New Zealand. In 1988, the Wellington Regional Enterprise Board organised a seminar for businesspeople from Taiwan who were considering emigrating. The participants were given information on investment opportunities, property values, and finance and banking systems. Here, Chang Yieshan and his wife Chang Wu Su-Chin consider the attractions of Wellington.
