Butterfly species

These butterfly species were photographed in the South Island. Argyrophenga harrisi was found on tussock lands above Lewis Pass. The unnamed Lycaena species (top right) is an undescribed boulder copper butterfly from Central Otago. Argyrophenga antipodum is a common tussock butterfly, photographed in Dunedin. The unnamed Lycaena species (bottom right) is another undescribed boulder copper butterfly, from the Mackenzie basin.
