Clinton Hut (3 o 3)

Clinton Hut

By 1895, with the track cut and huts built, parties such as this one were regularly walking the Milford Track. These tourists are leaving the Clinton Hut, which was then the start of the track. A man at the door is holding a box for carrier pigeons, used to communicate with Te Anau village.
