Air show

Crowds gather for an air show at Masterton airport, around 1950. The planes include De Havilland Mosquitoes, British combat aircraft used in the Second World War. In 1999 a new biennial air show, Wings Over Wairarapa, was launched. The two-day event attracts thousands to see vintage and contemporary aircraft.
