Joe Sheehan, 'Slideshow carousel II', 2009

Joe Sheehan is a stone artist who mainly works in pounamu (greenstone or jade). He creates beautifully rendered works of everyday objects out of pounamu, including photo slides, cassette tapes, pens, sunglasses and light bulbs. 'Slideshow carousel II' featured in the exhibition Slideshow at Tim Melville Gallery in Auckland in 2009. It is now part of the Chartwell Collection at the Auckland Art Gallery.
