A New Zealand willowherb (Epilobium brunnescens) has spread over much of the British Isles since its accidental arrival some time in the early 1900s. This map shows its known distribution at different times. It favours damp sites and is well represented in the wetter parts of Ireland and Great Britain, especially in the west and in mountainous country.
