Adolescence and rites of passage in film: In my father's den

This clip shows the making of a scene from Brad McGann's 2004 drama In my father's den. This adaptation of Maurice Gee's novel explores the uneasy relationship between a burnt-out war correspondent and a teenage girl (played by Emily Barclay). The film's emotionally damaged characters are isolated from each other in the stark landscape of central Otago.
