A heroes' welcome

This film shows the arrival of the All Blacks in Auckland in March 1906 after their triumphant international tour. The team, wearing white hats, are led off the ship by Premier Richard Seddon, and are shown arriving in an open coach at the public reception at Philson's Square. The Auckland Weekly News reported 'roaring cheering' and that the crowd sang 'See the conquering hero comes'.
