Softball and baseball diamonds

This diagram shows the dimensions for softball and baseball diamonds with the positions of the players. The baseball diamond and outfield area is considerably larger than for softball. The overarm pitching and harder ball used in baseball mean that the ball is generally hit further than in softball.
