Kōrero: Taranaki region

Taranaki

Taranaki is situated on the western coast of the North Island of New Zealand. Dominated by the mountain which gives the region its name, the area is largely the product of eruptions from a series of volcanoes, of which Mt Taranaki (Mt Egmont) is the most recent.
