This graph shows the gross domestic product (GDP) of New Zealand and her main trading partners. It also includes the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) and world averages. The OECD countries include what are considered the world’s developed economies. New Zealand’s position of 20th out of 30 indicates its status as one of the poorer of the developed countries. However, compared with the world average New Zealand is clearly one of the richer countries. The figures are based on purchasing power parity calculations expressed in US dollars.
