This graph shows the high percentage of the New Zealand workforce in 2013 who were working in occupations that require education. Professionals and managers, occupations dependent on formal qualifications, made up 42% of all employed people. These statistics illustrate the significance of further education for access to the largest occupational categories in the labour market.
