Mortality rates for males by ethnicity (2 o 2)

This graph shows the number of expected deaths each year per 100,000 males aged 1–74, for four ethnic groups. The figures have been age-standardised so that the different age structures of the different ethnic groups do not distort the rates. While death rates have fallen for each group, the rates for Māori and Pacific men remain significantly higher than those for European and Asian men.
