Patent applications, 1995-2007

This graph show the number of applications made to the Intellectual Property Office of New Zealand between 1995 and 2007 for patents, trademarks and designs. The number of overseas applications for a patent in New Zealand rose sharply, while the number of applications made from within New Zealand remained relatively steady. The number of applications for a trademark trebled in this period, while the number of design applications barely changed.
