New Zealand aid to the Pacific and elsewhere

New Zealand aid to the Pacific and elsewhere

This graph shows the amount and destination of New Zealand aid to developing countries. Originally all such aid went to the South Pacific. From the 1960s other countries, especially in Asia, received the bulk of New Zealand aid. Since then the percentage of gross domestic product (GDP) spent on development aid has dropped. In 2005 the South Pacific again received less of the total aid than other countries.
