This pie chart shows New Zealand’s markets for sheep meat exports in 2007, by tonnes. European Union countries were by far the biggest market. Assessed by both tonnage and value , the UK took the largest share, followed by Germany and France. Only 8% of the sheep meat produced in New Zealand is consumed locally.
