The immigration policies of the 1990s resulted in increasing diversity in the New Zealand population. This was reflected in the range of ethnic communities which took the opportunity to make programmes that were broadcast on Access Community Radio in Auckland as Planet FM. On this day in the early 2000s, many different communities disseminated programmes to their people.
