Pot poster

This Department of Health poster, produced in 1970, shows how to identify the cannabis plant. Known by many names, including ‘pot’ and ‘marijuana’, high-narcotic types of cannabis are illegally grown in many parts of New Zealand and sold as a drug. When this poster was issued, use of the drug was increasing.
