Performance audit

Performance audit

Around 4,000 central and local public entities are audited under the authority of the auditor general each year. In addition, the auditor general carries out some performance audits to enquire into the use of resources, efficiency and the effectiveness of publicly funded entities. This is the cover of a 2002 report examining the performance of the helicopter detachment of the New Zealand Defence Force in East Timor.
