
Stories about many things, founded on facts was published anonymously in London in 1833, and is considered to be the first children's book about New Zealand. It is divided into four chapters: 'Dogs', 'New Zealand', 'Ants' and 'The walk'. The 'esqimaux' scene printed as the frontispiece relates to the first chapter.
