Polynesian festival, 2004

Large numbers of Pacific Island immigrants, including people from the Cook Islands, Samoa, Fiji, Tonga and Nuie, came to work at the Kinleith mill, and their descendants still live in Tokoroa. This Polynesian heritage is celebrated at an annual festival.
