Huntly power station

Huntly power station

Lit up at night, the huge Huntly thermal power station is reflected in the waters of the Waikato River. New Zealand’s largest power station, in 2010 it generated around 17% of New Zealand’s electricity. It is run on local gas and coal, and uses river water for cooling.
