Hochstetter sketching

As he journeyed around the central North Island, the Austrian explorer Ferdinand Hochstetter sketched the geological features he observed. His companion, Julius Haast, drew this sketch of Hochstetter sketching on top of a hut – presumably the easiest way to get a good view.
