Kōrero: Newspapers

Mountain Scene, 2013

Queenstown's Mountain Scene, first published in 1973, is a free community newspaper, funded entirely from advertising revenue. This type of newspaper, heavy on advertising and focusing on local stories such as the rescue helicopter service, increasingly replaced traditional pay-per-copy newspapers in the 21st century. Most had an online edition alongside the paper copy.
