Kōrero: Children’s play

Advertisement for children's cycles and pedal cars, 1932

This Farmers' Trading Company advertisement for tricycles, bicycles and toy cars dates from 1932. In the early 20th century more children acquired tricycles and bicycles, giving them greater mobility. Pedal cars may have been regarded as more of a luxury, especially in the 1930s economic depression.
