Insurance advertisement, 1893

In this colourful advertising supplement from 1893, the Australian Mutual Provident Society calls itself the ‘oldest, wealthiest and most prosperous Australian life office, and the largest in the British Empire’. The illustration shows the company’s office on Customhouse Quay, Wellington. It began selling life insurance in New Zealand in 1854 and is now known as AMP.
