Mythical otter

In the 1800s and early 1900s there were reports of people seeing a strange creature resembling an otter. There is no scientific support for the stories, and the animal may have been a shag diving underwater for fish – or just pure invention. This report appeared in the Otago Daily Times on 2 May 1902.
