In this television report following the Court of Appeal decision in June 2003 concerning title to the foreshore and seabed in the Marlborough Sounds, Kathy Ertel, a lawyer for the Te Āti Awa tribe, suggests that the decision would open the door for many other Māori groups to bring claims relating to the foreshore and seabed.
