The Archer family got a shock when a meteorite hit their home in Ellerslie, Auckland, at 9.30 am on 12 June 2004. The meteorite punched a hole through the roof and bounced around the living room before coming to rest. In this clip Brenda Archer talks about the experience.

Hi, I was lucky enough to see it falling from the sky from my lounge. It left a strange greeny colored trail , and was almost vertical in it's fall line. Wold live to view it in the flesh one day, cheers John McCabe
