Great War Stories: Lady Liverpool

During the First World War Lady Liverpool, wife of the governor, established a fund to supply shirts, knitted socks and money to assist the soldiers in the trenches. Over 900 women’s groups contributed to the fund. Learn more about this effort in the Lady Liverpool Great War Story
