Great War Stories: Lady Liverpool

Video file

Despite being described in 1913 by a Colonial Office mandarin as ‘distinctly ordinary, though by no means alarming’, Lady Liverpool threw herself into supporting the war effort. She presided over the Lady Liverpool’s Fund and authorised two fund-raising books, including Her Excellency’s knitting book. Watch this Great War Story about her war work.
