Dave Dobbyn and Herbs, 'Slice of heaven'

Dave Dobbyn wrote the words and music for 'Slice of heaven', which was commissioned for the animated New Zealand film Footrot Flats (1986). Performed with reggae band Herbs, the song was released two months before the movie and hit the New Zealand music charts at number 26 in mid-September 1986. It reached the top spot in the first week of October, and stayed there for eight weeks.
