This clip shows the end of the 100-kilometre road race at the 1950 British Empire Games in Auckland. The circuit began on Tamaki Drive, went up to Parnell, down to Ōrākei and back along Tamaki Drive. The race had 13 starters but only seven finished. The winner was Hector Sutherland of Australia, with Nic Carter (New Zealand) second and Jack Fowler (Australia) third.
