Banning tobacco sponsorship

After years of lobbying by groups such as ASH, in 1994 the government banned tobacco sponsorship of sporting and other events. This clip shows how the government cushioned the change by providing short-time sponsorship money to long-running events such as the Benson and Hedges Tennis Open.
