On Armistice Day (11 November) 2004 an unknown warrior was buried in a tomb positioned in front of the Hall of Memories in Wellington. The New Zealand soldier had been disinterred from his grave in France and returned to Wellington, where he lay in state in Parliament, and was then carried through the city streets to the newly constructed tomb. The event sparked great public interest, with many thousands of people paying their respects at Parliament and lining the streets as the casket passed by. This film shows the moment when the warrior was formally buried.
