In this extract from the film Early days yet, named for Curnow’s 1997 collection and directed by Shirley Horrocks, Curnow's wife, Jeny, describes the poet’s enthusiasm for life. Sometimes she found it difficult to keep up with him, as he approached everything with such energy.
