In the 2000s many adult children live in the family home with their parents. Some leave and then later move back home, while others never leave at all. For some parents this is an enjoyable situation, but for others it can be a source of frustration, especially when the burden of housework, cooking and covering expenses falls mainly on them. In this excerpt from the 2004 television documentary Crowded house, Ana Forbes expresses discontent with her 31-year-old son Graeme Fatiolofa, with whom she shares a house.
