Kōrero: Agricultural processing industries

Mosgiel Woollen Mill, 1980

In 1980 the Mosgiel Woollen Mill, a major employer in the Otago town of Mosgiel, went into receivership after operating for nearly 110 years. The factory was sold and manufacturing continued on-site, but on a smaller scale. The mill closed for good in 2000.
