Two Japanese visitors to a farmstay near Warkworth north of Auckland take part in haymaking. Summer, the peak tourist season, coincides with some important farm activities, which can be a problem for farm hosts. However, allowing visitors to take part in this work enriches their experience by giving them an understanding of country life in New Zealand.
