Not only do beekeepers transport hives to sites near flowering plants for honey production, they also place them in kiwifruit orchards during flowering so that pollination will occur. In the Bay of Plenty, hives are rented to ensure a good kiwifruit crop.

Question plse - read in the nelson mail about local bee-keepers who provide and service a bee hive on local properties. No contact name was given. Do you have contacts for local nelsob regional keepers who do this?? thanks bbk
