  Formed in 1956, the Dunedin Opera Company is the oldest professional opera company in New Zealand.

• Musical Theatre New Zealand

  This non-profit organisation fosters and encourages musical theatre, and the site provides links to many community theatre groups around the country.

• National Academy of Singing and Dramatic Art (NASDA)

  Based in Christchurch, NASDA offers a Bachelor of Performing Arts specialising in Music Theatre.

• New Zealand Opera

  New Zealand Opera is the largest professional opera company in New Zealand, performing in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch.

• New Zealand Opera School

  New Zealand’s premier opera training school, which runs annually in January.
