Celebrating the last seaborne Radio Hauraki broadcast, 1970

Announcers and supporters celebrate the last broadcast to be made from the Tiri II on 1 June 1970, before Radio Hauraki became a legal land-based station. They are (left to right) Ian Magan, John Monks, Peter Telling, Rick Grant and Lorraine McArthur. Sadly, Rick Grant was lost overboard and drowned the night of the final broadcast. Listen to Ian Magan saying farewell during Radio Hauraki's last broadcast as a pirate radio station at sea.
