Modern diving equipment

Nowadays, diving equipment incorporates sophisticated safety devices. The outfit at right includes a computer worn on the belt (1), which shows decompression times, ascent rates, water temperature and amount of air remaining. The outfit at centre has an older system (2), with two dials that show air remaining and depth. Also visible is a buddy breathing system (3), which delivers air to a diver’s companion in an emergency.
