Tērā tētahi whakataukī rongonui a te Māori e kōrero ana mō te pā harakeke me te whakarite i te āhua o tērā tipu ki te whānau tangata, inā:

Unuhia te rito o te harakeke, kei hea te kōmako e kō?
Ui mai ki ahau, ‘He aha te mea nui o te Ao?’
Māku e kī atu,
‘He tangata, he tangata, he tangata.’

He kupu whakarite te pā harakeke mō te kotahitanga o ngā whānau katoa puta i te ao.
