New Zealand's 1956 Olympic yachting team takes a break for lunch during the regatta at Melbourne. Peter Mander (far left) and Jack Cropp (third from left) won a gold medal in the Sharpie class. Their boat KZ2 can be seen in the background. From right are Bob Stewart (skipper), Edgar Swinnerton and Bert Cuthbertson, the crew of New Zealand’s other entry, in the Dragon class. This did well but had its medal chances dashed by two disqualifications.
